Our Junior Badminton Club (Newton Aycliffe Community Centre, Burn Lane) were invited to deliver a Badminton taster session in Stephenson Way Academy recently to see if any of the children wanted to take it up.
A colleague (Angela) and I (Peter) visited the School and we had a total of 35 children divided into three groups, and they all seem to have a really exciting time. They also showed a lot of interest in the sport and wanted more information about the club.
Some booked their place in the club straight away, that was very encouraging.
We play at the Newton Aycliffe Community Centre, Burn Lane on a Monday from 4.00pm-5.00pm (except Bank Holidays).
