Aycliffe Badminton Club based at the Leisure Centre are currently recruiting new members after having a successful season and looking to build and consolidate teams ready for the season ahead starting in September.
Last season they had 2 Mixed Doubles teams in the Darlington & District Badminton League. The A team finished 2nd in the A Division and the B team won the B Division having gone through the season winning every match.
The Mixed teams were also successful in the 2 League Cup competitions with the A team runners up in 1 and the B team winning the other.
The Men’s team finished 4th in the league and the Ladies team were 2nd in their respective Level Doubles leagues.
Anyone looking to play competitively or just for fun or fitness is welcome to join them between 7.30 and 9.30 any Friday evening at Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre, Just bring suitable sports clothing and footwear and a racket.
