The cold weather took its toll on the Ebac Northern League again last week. Newton Aycliffe’s game at Ashington being postponed on Saturday.
With the cold spell continuing this week it will be fingers crossed that Wednesday’s game at North Shields goes ahead. Aycliffe are then due to play their last home game of 2017 on Saturday when we welcome Seaham Red Star to Moore Lane. Kick off is 3pm, admission £6 adults, £4 concessions, £2 under 16s & accompanied under 12s free.
With over 2 weeks without a game Aycliffe will be keen to get back on the pitch and will be looking for revenge for the 1-0 loss to Seaham earlier in the season.
At the moment however the weather is the toughest opponent of all local football clubs.
