The Grill Lounge has opened up it’s doors on Shildon Main Street. One Month open and many customers have enjoyed the fresh new look of the venue, once being Café Limone Italian Restaurant. The venue had such a transformation that the builders found three 17th and 18th century chimneys within the plastered walls. Now repointed and cleaned down, the chimneys have become a key feature of The Grill Lounge.
The restaurant has taken on a completely new look, taking into account the railway heritage of the area and the classic rustic Grill Lounge aesthetics. The owner, Christian, has been head chef in many restaurants across Europe. He originates from Holland and has settled in the North East where he has dreamed of opening up his own food establishment. There is no doubt that the attention to detail has shocked customers that had previously been in the restaurant as Limones. Staff have been taken on from around the local area with a careful blend of experience and youth. Head chef, Christian, is training Jordan, 16 from Newton Aycliffe who started his apprenticeship a month ago. Jordan has taken to the role with a fantastic attitude towards work and an eagerness to learn.
Pixel Media, a newly formed marketing company from Aycliffe Business Park, have created a stunning website for The Grill Lounge and designed the graphics inside and out. The Grill Lounge offers a fantastic menu that can be located on their website. All steaks are 28 days matured which has been a big hit with those that appreciate quality. Quality of the food has been the management’s main focus where there is a full understanding that great food has to be sourced well. The owner has scoured the region for some of the best supplies to ensure The Grill Lounge has a product that the team are confident in.
