Mick Casey is competing in the IRON MAN at Bolton on the 16th July to raise money for the Great Aycliffe Cancer Support Group. He is 62 years old, doing two and a half mile swim and 112 miles cycle ride finishing with a 26 mile marathon  with a target of completing all the tasks in under 17 hours! Mick is a member of Aycliffe Triathlon Club  and also a member of Velo 167 Cycling Club. These two groups have supported him in his training for the contest. His Sister Cath Whittington said: “I would like to thank these two groups for their help. I had breast cancer two and half years ago and the GREAT AYCLIFFE CANCER SUPPORT GROUP helped me through the ordeal over the last two years. I have met some amazing people in the group and they deserve all the support they receive. Many thanks and best of luck to my brother Mick”.
