Aycliffe U8 Eagles v Saltburn
The boys got off to a great start, racing to a 3-0 lead. Saltburn managed to get two back just before half time. In the second half the boys dominated and scored two unanswered goals, three goals for Josh and one each for Toby and Ollie.
Aycliffe U8 Wildcats v Hebburn Town
A positive goals feast from two young teams starting their football journey, that was edged by Aycliffe. Alice defended well and both Leah and Lily Ella took their turn in goal. Ella made her debut and slotted into midfield. Goals from Sophie 4, Emilia 3 and Matilda.
Aycliffe U10 Girls v Eaglescliffe
The visitors proved a tough team to break down. Erin, at the back, was resolute against their counter-attacking tactics and gave the players in front the stability to go at the Eaglescliffe dogged defence. All four goals for the girls were great, the final one saw Sophie and Elsie calmly link up with a one-two to leave Eaglescliffe no chance. POTM: Amelia and Erin.
Aycliffe U11 Eagles v Spennymoor Town
Aycliffe took the lead and continued to look good with the ball, creating plenty of chances, unfortunately though we couldn’t add to the opener and were 2-1 down at the break. Second half was much of the same, plenty of positives with the ball, moving it well and creating chances, unfortunately we weren’t very good without it and Spennymoor took the game.
CLS Amazons v Aycliffe U11 Girls
A lot of pressure from the girls in the first half, but a single goal separated the sides. However, the second half was dominated by Aycliffe as they ran out comfortable winners. Goals: Poppy 3, Phoebe 3, Amelia. POTM: Poppy.
Aycliffe U15 Eagles 2 v Hebburn 3
A disappointing result, but not a disappointing performance, some excellent football played but struggled to convert. The boys battled until the final whistle. Goals from Olly C and Kaiden. MOM: Will.
Felling Magpies 2 v Aycliffe U14 Girls 4
The girls raced into a half time lead with two goals from Amy Dowson and one by Ebony. Felling pulled two goals back but we showed great character by putting the game out of reach and claiming our fourth straight league victory, with Amy getting her hat trick.
POTM: Macey.
Aycliffe U12 Wildcats 3 v Hebburn Blues (County Cup) 1
A tough game played between two physical teams battling for everything. Lucy put Aycliffe 1-0 up with a great strike from the edge of the box but Hebburn equalised before half time. The girls took the lead when Phoebe’s penalty was saved but she pounced on the rebound. With three mins left Evie scored and the girls march into the next round of the County Cup.
Aycliffe U14 Angels 10 v Pools Youth 1
After a strong start from the opposition, the girls took control. After a couple of goals in windy, but sunny, conditions. 6-1 at halftime meant we could move some players around. Goals from Romilly 5, Eveie, Amy, Heidi and Erin (+ an OG). Star players: Layla and Romilly.
Aycliffe U13 Eagles 6 v Greatham FC 0
Another excellent game of football from the Eagles as they go from strength to strength. A pleasure to watch this team progress. Goals from Rossi 3, Oscar, Evan, Borys. MOM: Louie.
Aycliffe U15 Girls (Sunday) 8 v South Shields 3
A first win in the Durham FA girls league. Shields gave the team a few testing moments, but the girls came out of the game strongly. Five goals from Romilly and goals from Charli, Saf and Faith did the damage. Star Players: Hannah (on her debut) and Evie.
Aycliffe U14 Eagles 4 v Darlington Young Bulls 1
Another great result with a hat trick from Isaac and one from Ethan, see the lads move up to second in the division.
