Aycliffe U9 Wildcats v Washington Athletic
Another good performance from the girls. We challenged the girls to play a different formation and to try playing in different positions. The whole squad’s development has been fantastic this season. The decision making and passing today was notably good. Three goals for Bonnie and two goals from Sophie.
Aycliffe U8 Eagles v Cleveland Juniors
After two weeks without a game, it was back to winning ways for the U8 Eagles. A brilliant game with some good finishes and passing moves. Goals from Mason (4), Luke (3), Elijah, Kurtis and an own goal. A 5-3 win in the development game capped a great weekend.
Darlington RA v Aycliffe U9 Eagles
The boys made a good start to the match and deservedly were one-nil up before going in at half time on level terms. Unfortunately, the boys gave away a penalty early in the second half and then a further goal, but never gave up and their determination, was rewarded with three goals to get a deserved win. Goals from Mason, Zac and two for Ben.
Aycliffe U10 Wildcats v Jarrow
A really physical game as the girl’s journey continues. An early goal for Jarrow, but Aycliffe were awarded a penalty, but the keeper saves. Into the second half and there was nothing between the teams, then against the run of play Jarrow score. Then a Charlotte free kick on 25 yards was smashed into the corner. Chances for both sides, but Jarrow grabbed a third in the final minutes.
Aycliffe U10 Eagles v Redcar Athletic
The Eagles started brightly with lots of good play, but credit to Redcar who grew into the game and made it close, HT 1-0 to the boys. The 2nd half started the same way, very close, but the Eagles began to push Redcar in the closing stages, grabbing two late goals.
Auckland Moors U12 Girls v Aycliffe U11 Falcons
The game was even with chances for both teams. Auckland scored first, eight minutes into the first half. Falcons had their chances to equalise, but just couldn’t get the ball in the net. Auckland then scored a cracking long range goal in the second half to seal the win. POM: Opposition – Hunter; Coaches MOM: Jaxon.
TIBS 1 v Aycliffe U13 Eagles 12
Great Team performance against Tibs U13 Yellows, carrying their form forwards the lads bossed the match from the outset, with scorers across the team Tarek 6, Harry 2, Sam 2, Jake 1, Harrison 1. Every single player did their job and the passing and possession was simply superb. POTM Sam, Maddison, Harrison, Taylor and Lucas.
Darlington Quakers 6 v Aycliffe U13 Wildcats 1
In an even first half, Quakers scored after fifteen minutes. They then got a penalty, but Sofia made a brilliant save then forced their player to hit the post on the rebound. Within the next twenty five minutes, Aycliffe were 6-0 down, but creating chances for Imogen, Evie, Brooke and Lucy. Aycliffe scored late on when Lucy ran through and hit a shot into the roof of the net.
Aycliffe U14 Eagles 3 v Bishop St. Mary’s 5
Table topping St. Mary’s arrived at the Oakleaf and had a battle to come away with three points. Aycliffe worked so hard today and on another day may have got a positive result. Goals Rossi x3. Joint MOM Rossi and Cameron.
Aycliffe U15 Angels 8 v Norton & Stockton 3
A tighter game than the scoreline suggests with the Aycliffe pulling away at 4-3 with fifteen minutes to play. Two goals each for Hannah and Poppy and one each from Eveie, Charli, Faith and Isobel. Assists from Evie, Daisy D, Amy, Faith, Charli and Poppy. Star Players: Poppy and Faith.
Aycliffe U16 Eagles 4 v Ouston Eagles (Cup) 3
A fantastic performance. From front to back, every player worked really hard and were rewarded for their efforts with a very nervy win. They found themselves 0-2 down initially. Goals from Olly x 2 brilliant headers, Noah with an inch perfect top bins free kick and an OG. Shout out to Harry for his assists. MOM Olly.
