The past two weekends has seen Aycliffe well represented at two of the region’s biggest events. On September 2nd the 8th Tees Pride 10K took place in a sunny and warm Middlesbrough. Colin Wooster led the club home in an excellent 37:36 followed by Peter Milburn in 39:37, Tom Porter 41:14 and Richard Campbell 41:51. Other finishers from the club were John Burnside 45:08, Robert Young 47:42, Trish Kay 49:51 and 2nd female over 50, Daniel Sanham 50:04, Gary Minns 50:42, Dave McKenzie 53:17, Shelley McCormack 53:19, Naomi Kellett 53:22, Rob Nicholson 53:47, Tracey Warrior 56:34, Ray Todd 58:11, Ronnie Pluck 58:32, Elaine Morgan 1:01:42, Megan Rockett 1:02:25 and Yvonne Williams 1:05:05.
A week later another good turnout at the 6.5 mile multi-terrain Sedgefield Serpentine. Dez Fielden finished 4th overall in 39:14.
Many other runners put in good performances in the race which is part of the club championship; Peter Milburn finished in 43:04, Tom Porter 45:26, Richard Campbell 45:33, Matt Heron 46:25, Kevin Greenall 49:55, Gary Minns 54:15, Trish Kay 54:49, Simon Robinson 55:17, Penny Johnson 56:46, Chris Forster 1:02:01 and Judith Porter 1:04:28.
