At the last meeting we had highly entertaining talk and lots of delicious cheese samples from Simon Raine, owner of Weardale Cheese. This month we have visited Bowes Museum to see the Norman Cornish and LS Lowry exhibition, watched the Silver Swan in action and, of course, had some lunch. Some members continue to go ten pin bowling at Planet Leisure on the first Tuesday of the month. If you feel like joining us, you don’t need to be a member, please contact us. We had a trip to The Hippodrome to see The Stylistics which was enjoyed by everyone. Our monthly Book Club is still going strong and we continue to visit St. Clare’s Court care home, where we spend the afternoon crafting with some of the residents. Our next meeting will be on Wednesday 20th November at 7.00pm in Aycliffe Village Hall. This will be an evening of crafting for Christmas. Refreshments are provided during the evening. Please feel free to join us at the meeting or, if you are interested in joining our WI, come along and find out what we do.
