Aycliffe Velo Cycling Club based in Newton Aycliffe, have just completed our third club trip to Puerto Pollensa, Majorca. This has been one of our most successful trips with 15 club members joining us.
Our first ride, as always was to the Lighthouse at Cap de Formentor. This is a stunning route with terrific views and marvellous scenery, riders of all abilities completed this challenging ride resulting in an enjoyable day for all.
We had terrific weather and were able to complete some epic rides, one of which was the Sa Calobra climb which challenged us all. A category 1 climb, 9.4km long with 26 hairpin bends and 670 metres of climbing. Absolutely fantastic.
