James Le Poidevin (16) from Aycliffe Boxing Club has made it onto the England Junior Boxing Club and last weekend he represented his country at Rotherham in the Tri Nations tournament where he won a Silver medal.
On the 16th April he competed in Liverpool in the Final of the National Junior Championships and again won Silver only losing by a very narrow split decision.
James has been boxing since he was 10 and has won five consecutive Tyne, Tees & Wear titles taking him to the National Finals four times where he became National Champion twice.
James is in action again on Friday 28th April at Aycliffe WMC where his Club present an evening of Olympic style boxing. For tickets contact Les Gibson on 01325 313855.

Aycliffe Boxing Club is open to all – Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 6-7pm – Juniors; 7-8pm – adults. Saturday: 10am – 12 noon. £2.50p per session.
