Amazing results from all swimmers at the Peterlee Gala on Sunday 10th July. which saw a huge medal haul and PBs for all involved.
Kate Carmichael obtained 2 new PBs from her 5 races and a silver and bronze in the 50m backstroke and 100m freestyle respectively. Katelyn Craig obtained a medal of each colour, bronze in 100m freestyle, silver in the 50m butterfly and gold in the 50m freestyle. Katelyn also managed 3 PBs from her 6 races.
Lauren Chatt took home bronze in both the 100m freestyle and the 50m freestyle and got PBs in 4 out of her 5 races. Rebecca Hall also left the pool in Stanley with a collection of medals. 3 Gold and 3 Silver for Rebecca who medalled in all 6 of her races. Zac Hodgkinson and Niall Coulthard were Sedgefield 75’s golden boys as both obtained gold in every race they swam. Zac also managed PBs in 4 of his 7 races while Niall managed to PB in 4 out of 5.
This gala showed Sedgefield 75 and all our swimmers at their best, and demonstrates how attendance, attitude and ability all come together to equal massive achievement.
