The Majestic Theatre in Darlington brings you a nonstop, song packed show featuring two of the country’s most well respected tribute artistes: Christina Simone (Chrissy) from Newton Aycliffe as Barbra Streisand and Chris James as Neil Diamond. Featuring such huge hits as Evergreen, Sweet Caroline, The Way We Were, Love on the Rocks, Woman in Love, Cracklin’ Rosie, Don’t Rain On My Parade and of course,their wonderful duet, You Don’t Bring Me Flowers. Chris James is an awardwinning vocalist and entertainer, based in the North East. During a 20year career, Chris has performed in some of the country’s top theatres as part of old time music hall and Las Vegas themed shows. His Matt Monro and Neil Diamond tribute acts have earned him a reputation as one of the region’s best-loved entertainers and continue to attract crowds within the local club and cabaret circuit, also events and functions. He is an established name on TV and film; appearing in hit BBC and ITV shows, including Downton Abbey, Vera and the Bafta – nominated I Daniel Blake, working alongside notable entertainers such as Graham Norton, Frank Carson and Michael Barrymore. Christina is no stranger when it comes to theatre, having played principal roles in stage musicals including Killer Queen in We Will Rock You and Nancy in Oliver. Christina has over 20 years’ experience performing on stage, as well as being a recording artiste and having her songs played on the radio. Christina has won several awards, including being voted North East Female Vocalist of the Year. Being half Greek Cypriot, Christina was hand-picked to represent Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest, a number of years ago but unfortunately, work commitments and a solid diary in the U.K meant that she was unable to participate. Having worked with household names including Peter Andre, Michael Barrymore, Frank Carson and North East legend, Brendon Healy, Christina is delighted to be performing alongside old friend Chris James again. Christina has performed her Streisand show up and down the country and as part of the theatre production Magic of the Bee Gees, in addition to paying tribute to her idol at festivals, casinos, hotels and private parties.
