At the Kirkby Malzeard 10k Aycliffe Running club had its most successful day ever. The predicted thunderstorms thankfully didn’t arrive and instead it was just light rain which helped to keep the runners cool and resulted in half the club members achieving PBs.
After the race free refreshments were available in the village hall during the prize giving. The prizes were in the form of a nicely presented hamper.
Two of our athletes achieved one of these prizes, Kelly Smith for 1st female under 35, 46m:05 PB and 52nd overall and Dez Fielden for 3rd male, 35:45.
