Aycliffe Running Club sent 8 teams to the Durham Cathedral Relays on Sunday. The cross country event attracts some of the region’s leading clubs and athletes. Undeterred by the strong competition the Aycliffe teams all put in excellent performances. The Veteran Men’s A team of Lee Wren, Peter Milburn and Dez Fielden, was the pick of the bunch finishing 17th in their race in 29:24. Dez put in the fastest individual time of the Aycliffe runners, completing the 1.7 mile leg in 9:32.
