Dear Sir,
I am a first generation Newtonian! Born in the Town (in a kitchen in Lightfoot Road) in 1956!
Sadly my circumstances changed drastically due to ill-health and disability in 2012 and I had to leave the Town I love….
But I am able to regularly visit my Dad (George Wheatley) and had the pleasure of going to the Farewell Service for Graham and Emma Morgan on Sunday 26th July and Neville Parade Methodist Church.
I’ve sent a little ‘Thank You’ and photos, of Graham and Emma with my Dad, I’m not sure if it is something you feel could find a place for in your newspaper – I just wanted to say how much the little Church there in Neville Parade means to so many – and what an asset it is to Newton Aycliffe.
As well as expressing my Thanks for all Graham and Emma and the Church have done in supporting my 86 year old Dad through a very difficult time.
I love reading Newton News on-line every week and when I visit it is still such a treat to see that it is being delivered to my Dad!
Hope you are all settling into your new premises and you continue to go from strength to strength!
Kind Regards
Sandra Wheatley
