Last weekend 11year old Katie Leadbitter competed in the North of England’s Voluntary level 2 Competition winning the title and is now North of England Level 2 Champion, elegible to compete at Guildford in the National Championships.
Her win shows great determination and hard work considering last November when she nearly ended her short career following a training accident. She dislocated her elbow and was admitted to hospital for it to be surgically put back in place.
All the family are very proud of her as Katie never gives up and is an inspiration to to her disabled sister Sophie. She too had many operations last year and the family have equal pride for her.
Katie has been accepted into Woodham Sports Academy Gymnastics Section.
Dad, Mam, Sophie, Grandad and Nanna Leadbitter, and Grandma Talbot send their love and urge Katie to keep up the good work.
