Newton News has been in discussion with Newton Aycliffe Town Centre Management to find the possibility of holding a regular “Indoor Market” in the town centre.
The idea has been mooted many times over the years, to make use of any available empty shops on a short term basis.
This scheme could now be a possibility; however the management team would need to gauge the interest from those interested in having a regular stall before approaching the Landlord.
The stall holders could be a small business currently working from home, charities who do not currently have a presence in the town centre, town organisations, craft workers, charities, fund raisers – even car booters etc.
It is important to note that it is in it’s very early stages and there is no guarantee we will be able to move it forward.
