On Sunday 8th February Woodham Academy gymnasts competed in the regional sports acrobatics and tumbling competition.
This included one mixed under 14 pair, four under 14 girls’ tumblers and one under 14 male tumbler. The gymnasts performed really well across both events. The under 14 mixed pair came in second place and narrowly missed out on going on to represent the North in the national finals.
In the tumbling event Daniel Wilkinson came second in a very tough category, where, alongside the gold medallist, he will go forward to represent the North in the national finals in Stoke-on-Trent in May. Another excellent achievement for the Gymnastics Academy.
