Girlguiding Newton Aycliffe Division is delighted to report that we have opened another Rainbow Unit. We now have three Rainbow units (girls aged 5-7), four Brownie units (girls aged 7-10), two Guide units (girls aged 10-14) and a Senior Section/Ranger Unit for 14-25 year olds that supports our Young Leaders too. Our units currently meet on Monday or Friday evenings at a variety of venues.
Our current membership is 149 and there is room for more. If you would like to register your interest in your daughter(s) joining one of our units please log on to www.girlguiding.org.uk/interested and leave your details; a leader from your preferred unit will then contact you. You will also find a fun and informative website for each section (suitable for the girls) accessible from the Girlguiding homepage.
We would love to hear from volunteers for a variety of roles too, depending on how much time you can spare: unit helper, leader, young leader or even to help with admin tasks. If you are interested, please also leave your details at www.girlguiding.org.uk/interested and our Commissioner will contact to discuss the opportunities further.
Anyone who is not able to register online may telephone our Division Commissioner on 01325 311204.
In 2014 our Brownie Section for 7-10 year olds will be celebrating their 100th Birthday. Newton Aycliffe has a long history of Guiding and we are sure a number of former Leaders/helpers still on the town. If you previously had a role in Girlguiding and would like to be kept informed of our 2014 celebrations, please email beccib21@gmail.com or telephone 01325 311204.
