Horndale Residents Association, in cooperation with the Newton Aycliffe Evangelical Church, the local Police Team, house builder Gallifordtry and Livin collected much needed food that will feed between 5-8 families for 3 days.
The Food Bank works out of St Clare’s Church on Wednesday and Friday between 1.30 and 3.00 and is always thankful for food donations to help the ever increasing people in need, they also require some more volunteers, if you can help to give a few hours a fortnight it would relieve the work load of the committed and wonderful volunteers without them a lot of people would be worse off.
The Food Bank are looking for more drop off points for donated food in shops, factories and businesses so if you know of any where a small bin could be placed it would boost their work. The volunteers would collect any donations when required. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far and hope we can continue to help the Food Banks fantastic and much needed work.
