Jean Thompson of Rushyford took over the role of District Governor for the 67 North East Rotary Clubs on the 1st July.
Her first duty in her year of office was to make an official visit to her own club at Newton Aycliffe where she expressed her aspirations for the year.
Her Aycliffe colleagues will support Jean on her journeys to other clubs by driving her to the venues which stretch as far as Berwick in the north and Saltburn in the south.
They will also turn out in strength to steward Jean’s District Conference over a weekend in Harrogate in October.
