ACORN Residents Asso-ciation will be holding their next meeting at Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre at 6pm Wednesday 12th December. Guest speaker for the evening will be Mr Syd Howarth, Chairman of Great Aycliffe Residents Association and local businessman of many years’ experience.
Subjects to be discussed will include the stupendous ACORN Christmas Fayre to be held at Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre on 16th December 12 till 4pm featuring entertainment from the hilarious Harry Potty.
Disco playing Christmas favourites, a special visitor from the North Pole and for adults a chance to pick up late Christmas gifts from local people selling jewellery, candles and cakes etc. Vendors should be aware that public liability insurance is a requirement of the leisure centre.
Also to be discussed are arrangements for our AGM to be held in January and of course local topics, police reports and any other subjects brought up by the public and Town and County Councillors.
We still have a few family panto tickets left for ‘Sleeping Beauty’, at the Gala Theatre in Durham, which are on sale at £10 for adults and free to children who must be accompanied by parent or guardian. Transport is provided on 3rd January, leaving at 6pm from the British Legion Club.
