On Saturday the 21st June, Aycliffe Care Home held their Annual Summer Fete which was run in conjunction with National Care Home Day.
The Deputy Mayor, Mary Dalton and her consort Valerie Raw were invited to come along and officially open the fete which was really nice of them to accept. They also took the time to talk to our residents and look around the home which was refurbished in 2013.
There were lots of stalls including raffle, tombola, bottle stall, games, bric-a-brac, cakes, hotdogs as well as entertainment from Janie St John and the weather on the day was lovely.
We would like to thank the companies and people who donated prizes for our raffle and tombola – Specsavers, Top Star Taxis, Julie’s Pets, Boots from Bishop Auckland, Petal Florist, K9 Pursuits and many more.
Thanks also to all the families and friends for their donations and for supporting our fete. We raised a grand total of £732.85
