Sergeant Addison and Corporal Simon from 1407 (Newton Aycliffe) Squadron Air Cadets have recently gained their BTEC 1st Diploma in Public Services. They were presented with their certificates by the Lord Lieutenant of County Durham, Sue Snowdon at an award ceremony at The Bradford Armoury, Darlington. The BTEC was a culmination of teamwork and leadership skills training and a study of the Armed Forces. Both cadets achieved the highest possible grade of Distinction.
The Squadron’s Padre, Paul Harper, was awarded a Lord Lieutenant’s Certificate for Meritorious Service, marking his nine years of service and dedication to the Squadron and the Corps. Mr Harper has recently taken up the position of Wing Chaplain; a role that sees him help other chaplains across Northumberland and County Durham
