This years’s Durham County Indoor Bowling Association Champion of Champions Over 60 competition proved successful for Great Aycliffe IBC with both the Senior Men’s ‘Fours’ and ‘Triples’ teams winning at Morrisons IBC Darlington on Thursday 13th March 2014.
Dave Roberts, President of Durham County IBA and a member at Great Aycliffe, is pictured presenting the trophies to ‘Fours’ winners Keith Dunning, Bill Duffy, Phil Payne and Barrie Nicholson. The ‘Triples’ winners are Ken Hutchinson, Dave Barron and Fred Edwards.
Another victory is possible for the Club when the final stages of the National Championships Men’s Over 60 ‘Fours’ competition will take place over the weekend of 22nd March 2014.
Phil Payne, Keith Dunning, Brian Hutchinson and Bill Duffy will travel to Northampton for the final stages and will play Leicester in the quarter final. The Club wishes to thank Great Aycliffe Town Council for their kind donation to the National finalists.
