Have you been toying with the idea of keeping a hive of bees?
A new association, Aycliffe Beekeepers, offers a warm welcome to anyone interested in the welfare of honey bees and beekeeping and invites you to our open day and inaugural general meeting on Sunday 8th September 2019. Refreshments and ‘meet the beekeepers’ from 2.30pm, the AGM begins at 4.00pm.
We will be meeting at Moore Lane Eco Centre in Newton Aycliffe DL5 8AG. Information will be available about beekeeping and our Autumn training course for new beekeepers. You will be able to talk to experienced beekeepers and enjoy a cup of tea at the same time.
You might want to enter our logo competition – the prize for non- members is a tour of the apiary and a year’s free membership, subject to status.
