We are Alex James, a wheelchair-fronted alternative indie rock band with a unique story (of a front man living with an incurable life-limiting condition). We wanted to let your readers know that our second single, ‘I said that you looked fine’, will be released on all platforms, including Apple Music and Spotify, on the 30th April. Our music is heavily influenced by the likes of Royal Blood, The Pale White, Oasis, Sam Fender and Foo Fighters.
The aim of my band is to raise awareness of disabilities, highlight the importance of accessibility within the music scene and continue the long rock tradition of challenging pre-conceptions through live music and being in a wheelchair.
Music has really helped me to live with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy . . . I create music for fun, to help others and to leave behind a legacy for those I will eventually leave behind.
