On Saturday 1st June, the Looka Festival in Stockton was invaded by talent from Aycliffe when “Heroine” produced a great sounding set at the open air Terrace stage outside the Don Bar, in the on a lovely sunny day. Everyone moved and sang along with Heroine’s interpretation of some classic numbers.
The Unsound took the stage and there are videos of their performance on the website www. TheUnsound.co.uk. After they were pursued by a scout for a TV programme giving an amazing interview and are expected to take part in Diversity’s “Ashley Banjo’s Secret Street Crew” on Sky 1 in the near future.
The Unsound played a second set headlining the open air Terrace Stage pulling people in from other pubs. The band was asked to take part in Redcar Festival and also added to a pub’s list of bands to appear in Middlesbrough.
The two Aycliffe bands made a great impression and The Unsound will be back in Aycliffe on 9th August at The Big Club with Heroine playing there on 21st December.
