This painting by John Palliser, commemorates 100 years since The Great War WW1. To appreciate the work you must firstly understand the level of violence and slaughter that occurred. The number of military and civilian casualties was over 37 million, and ranked among the deadliest conflicts in human history.
The painting is a collage of different  stories and the observer can return time and time again finding something new to take away from the experience. The painting is exhibited in St. Clare’s Church by kind invitation of the Rev Christopher Pearson, from Friday the 5th September until Remembrance Sunday. It then goes on tour throughout the UK.
