.On Sunday 2nd February a B2N (Back to Netball) Tournament was held at Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre organised by England Netball Development Officer Fiona Holden.
Our local team Aycliffe Angels, who train at Greenfield Community College, coached by Ellie Barnes, a member of the PE staff at Greenfield, entered the competition and played extremely well managing 3rd place out of 11 teams from across the county.
The ladies have trained hard and love how much netball can help with not only fitness but making new friends too.  The club is becoming more popular every week and the ladies enjoy playing competitively in the local Durham league.
The club is lucky to have such fantastic facilities and support from Greenfield Community College where they train on Tuesday night from 6-7pm.
Greenfield’s youth teams have a record of successes in the area and we are pleased that this success can include members of the local community as well.
