Greenfield Arts are delighted with the response to their new season of activity and are looking forward to the many creative events and activities that are on the horizon.
Autumn is always a brilliant time to start something new with that ‘back to school’ feeling and an opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people and try something extraordinary. This season Greenfield Arts are inspired by the extraordinary in the everyday, noticing the beauty in our lives and in our community. Greenfield Arts boast a range of artists and facilitators who can support and guide you in our many workshops, courses and projects.
The Greenfield Gallery has a wonderful programme in store. Current exhibition Man-Made has attracted a wide-ranging audience and inspired visitors and community groups from afar. With just a few days left the exhibition by Richard Bliss is a must see – supported by Turner Prize Winner Lubaina Himid and artist William Titley the exhibition explores identity and masculinity and runs until 18th September.
This is followed by a wonderful exhibition ‘Norman Cornish: A Man of Destiny’, an exciting new exhibition which forms part of the Cornish Centenary season. The exhibition features artwork, personal artefacts and quotes which create a narrative that shows the determination and resilience of this popular local artist. The exhibition has inspired a number of workshops and activities at Greenfield Arts including an illustrated talk by Norman’s son-in-law Mike Thornton.
