Sedgefield 75 Swimming Club opened the new season at Billingham Forum where host club Billingham Swimming Club held their Autumn Meet.
Four swimmers tested their form. Aviana Wilson swam eight events, all freestyle and backstroke plus 50m butterfly and 200m individual medley. Three big PB’s came in 50 fly, 200 back and 200 IM. Aviana took gold in the 200 back and bronze in 50 back.
Niamh Welburn swam four events and set new bests in all of them. A six-second improvement in 200 back won her the gold and she took silvers in the 50 and 100m backstroke events. She also swam a sizeable PB in 50 freestyle.
Zoe Hodgson swam four events, breaking 30 seconds in 50m freestyle finishing fourth, also swimming 100 and 200m breaststroke and 50m butterfly where she beat her PB by 0.74 seconds.
Charlotte Lee swam three PB’s from her four events, 50 and 100 breaststroke and a big 1.4 seconds from her best 100 freestyle time. She also swam 200m breaststroke.
