Ebac has made a young boy with Autism’s birthday dreams come true. Adam Robinson, from Gateshead, who will be 13 in November and attends Hill Top Specialist Arts College, has been obsessed with washing machines since he was a toddler and thanks to Ebac’s new production line he had the opportunity to see the appliances being made. Mum, Dad and brother, Jack (14) joined Adam on a VIP visit to the Newton Aycliffe factory, which has recently started washing machine production in the UK for the first time in decades. Mum Amanda said: “Since he was two Adam has loved everything to do with washing machines. He know every make and model and the loads they can take. “We’ve never been able to visit a factory before because they were all abroad but to visit Ebac was like all his birthdays and Christmases at once for Adam. “We didn’t tell him until theday before where we were going but the expression on his face when he saw the washing machines parts and the machines being put together was priceless and something I’ll remember for a long time. “He can’t stop talking about his visit and I can’t thank Ebac enough for inviting Adam down.” Carol Jordan of Ebac who showed Adam and his family around said: “I really think Adam knows as much, if not more, about washing machines as we at Ebac do! “I was delighted to show off our new production line and Adam was interested in every aspect of the process. We love making things at Ebac and to have someone as keen as he was is a real joy and I hope that it was a birthday treat he’ll never forget.”
