Author Adam Bushnell and Emma Hawthorne from Sc.out.ed visited St Josephs recently. Spending time with each class, Adam brought in some fascinating artefacts for children to handle. Emma worked with each class outside to do outside learning, linked with the children’s curriculum. Class 3’s subject was the Stone Age and afterwards Adam let them touch 12,000 year old stone age artefacts which were, flint throwing stones, flint spear and arrowheads, hand axes, stone chisel, fire flints and coprolite (poo).
