On Sunday 21st October Chris Forster from Aycliffe Running Club lined up with 400 other competitors, in glorious sunshine, for the annual Gibside Trail Race. Despite being slippery underfoot and described as “like life full of ups and downs” (its not flat) Chris finished in a good time of 56:06 and enjoyed the pleasant run in the Autumn sunshine.
Aycliffe runners are continuing to support the local Park Runs. On Saturday 20th October 4 of them went to the run at Albert Park in Middlesborough. First home for the Club was Peter Milburn 18:38, then Richard Campbell in 19.09, Peter Smith in 20.51 and finally Susan Milburn making a good comeback from injury in 24.01.
