As you maybe aware, Arriva bus drivers are planning to go on strike from Sunday 16th December until midnight Saturday 22nd December, hence for 8 days.
Unfortunately all but one of Newton Aycliffe bus services are run by Arriva. One being the Town Bus which is not Arriva! As a result those within walking distance of the train station have that option. Or a lift or Taxi to/from station).
Another, depending on supply and demand, plus those who qualify, (more will qualify during the strike) the County Durham pre bookable “Link 2” bus can be booked by some for up to a 5 mile journey – Telephone 03000 269 999.

As of Thursday 7th December in the regional media the strike was said to be going ahead.
