Greenfield Students at A-Tech Fabrications
This Monday was the launch of the GAMP AAP funded Apprenticeships project at Greenfield. Year 9 students visited six local companies on Aycliffe Business Park, each group really enjoyed these visits, seeing inside these companies and learning about the different job roles, including apprenticeships and different career paths.
The students then worked hard all afternoon putting together creative presentations demonstrating what they had learnt about the companies, with the assistance of a representative from each company. The next step for these students is to continue to learn more about apprenticeships, whilst imagining their own company and the jobs there would be available there. The students will be presenting their ideas to the Aycliffe based companies in March.
We would like to thank the companies involved for their time and help with this project: INEOS, DPE Automotive, Palram, Atech, Finlay Structures and Ebac. We look forward to seeing the final presentations on 18th March.
