Over the past few months all Year 9 at Greenfield College have been working on a GAMP AAP funded Apprenticeships project, where they have considered career pathways, their own skills and aptitudes to inform their future choices and decisions.
The groups were set a challenge and worked with business mentors to explore ideas surrounding their own company, all the while considering the career options available to them, what employers are looking for, and the opportunities for potential jobs on their doorstep on Aycliffe Business Park.
Throughout this successful project the students have developed and expanded their confidence, creativity and presentation skills, with each group designing and delivering fantastic presentations on Monday 18th March to their peers and representatives from the businesses involved in the project and Durham County Council.
We would like to thank all of those involved in the project, including the representatives from Finley Structures, INEOS, Palram, A-Tech Fabrications, DPE Automotive and Ebac, who hosted the students at visits to their facilities, and gave up their time to support the groups throughout the process.
