Since the election I have noted my successor take photos in Hitachi and have been pleased to see mention of the importance of the facility but I recall it being said by many in the Labour hierarchy that this could be done “at the stroke of a pen”. The last reports of the department working at pace were already happening pre the election so we have seen literally nothing from Labour.
Is this another election lie from Labour? I would like the MP for Newton Aycliffe and Spennymoor to either find the pen and address this failure or come clean and tell us all why they misled everyone.
I could ask a similar question about Ferryhill Station where he is silent on a critical economic opportunity for a community in need that was signed off by my Government.
