Dear Sir,
I would like to warn dog owners round the Agnew and Cobblers Hall area about a man that walks a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. This black dog was allowed to run free and attacked our dog in the Burnhill Way field.
Our dog was on a lead and the owner could see his dog attacking ours with my wife trying to fend it off!
Even when our dog lay on the ground and my wife was shouting to the man for help he turned his back and walked away. My wife then tried to carry the dog out of the field but could not lift him and had to flag down a motorist to help her carry the dog.
He put the dog into his Land Rover and took my wife and the dog to the Vets but our pet was too badly hurt and had to be put to sleep.
My wife was so badly shaken by this she says she will never have another dog as she feels she let our’s down by not being able to protect him.
I hope the so called man who walked away and left her in that situation is ashamed of himself.
