NAYFC U10’s win over Darlington Young Bulls

The lads travelled on Sunday for the opening game of the season. In the first game the boys started brightly, dominating possession but found it difficult to get through the 4 man defence. After 15 minutes Young Bulls finally broke free on the counter and a fine save from Jacob S denied them a goal which would have been against the run of play. Returning to the other end, Youthy finally took the lead with a cheeky finish at the near post for Charlie from Evan’s cross. 2 minutes before half time, Oliver doubled the lead with a tidy finish from the left hand side of the box. In the second half the game opened up, which suited the boys. Posi scoring after one of his trademark runs, Isaac finding the net from a free-kick, Evan calmly converting from the edge of the box & Jacob S with a nice finish after bursting in from the left wing. FT saw 6 goals from 6 players which is outstanding team play.

Two fantastic wins to start the season for Aycliffe Angels. The U9’s had their debut match as a team against new team Deerness Valley Panthers and the U10 Blues played some exciting play, along with newcomer Faith debuting. Both teams played their matches as a unit and celebrated with style, with some players scoring for the first time with fantastic support from their friends. Very proud coaches and parents watched on as the girls played with passion, confidence and respect.

Redcar Town Blues – 0

NAYFC Eagles U13’s – 7

A great start from the lads on a sunny morning in Redcar, and really too many individual and team highlights to mention. Everyone looked up for it from the off, closing down, passing well and looking to get the ball forward.

The lads kept the pressure up throughout the whole game, made good decisions and had loads of energy. Excellent performances from everyone. Special mention to Harrison, Jason and Harry K making their debuts and settling straight into things.
