Greenfield School staff and students would like to thank Aycliffe Running Club for a fantastic day last Sunday and for their continued support of the school’s athletes.
The 3k Fun Run and 10K Road Race was enjoyed by the local community and the many athletes that travelled from far and wide, to take part.
The Club kindly gave staff and students from Greenfield School free entry, which allowed donated entries to St Teresa’s Hospice. Greenfield staff ran the 10k and a number of students ran the 3K Fun Run in support of the Hospice in Darlington. It was a very successful day – one that the local community, Club and race director Trevor Needham should be very proud.
For some of Greenfield staff this was the 5th Event they had undertaken as part of the Make it Happen team 2013 campaign, to raise money for St Teresa’s Hospice.
So far the team have raised over £6,000 which is truly amazing! Some members are tackling the 3 peaks next weekend, so we wish them good luck.
Anyone who would like to support St Teresa’s Hospice and the Make it Happen team can do so through www.justgiving.com/Makeithappen2013 or by texting the code MAHP73 with the amount in £’s to 70070. Thank you again to Aycliffe Running club for their support of Greenfield School, the local Community and St Teresa’s Hospice. It is very much appreciated.
