Organisers of an annual family fun day say this year’s action-packed event will be bigger than ever!
Weather permitting, Newton Aycliffe FC are expecting their biggest attendance for next weekend’s summer extravaganza, being held at their Moore Lane Park within the grounds of Aycliffe Sports Club, from 11am to 3pm on Sunday 8th July.
Organiser Barry Waters, the club’s sponsorship and advertising manager, says
“There’s more and newer attractions at this year’s fun day. There will be a tombola, bouncy castle, coconut shy, face-painting and a speed goal, while new features will include a tea cup ride for little ones, a maze, a ladder challenge, a Tae Kwon Do demonstration, shuggy boats, mini golf and much more.”
The town’s MP Phil Wilson, (Aycliffe FC’s President), will also be in attendance on the day. “It promises to be a really entertaining and fun day, and I would like to thank Newton Press and Newton News for their kind and generous sponsorship of this family event.” said Barry (pictured). “We just need the weather to be kind to us now!”
Aycliffe’s fun day will also include a table top sale (£5 a table), and spaces are still available. Anyone who’d like to get involved can contact Barry on 07864 718243, or email barrywaters212@msn.com
