Newton Aycliffe Residents group ACORN reconvenes at 6pm on 13th September at the Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre after summer recess.
ACORN has been very well supported since its formation in January 2012 and welcomes, as guest speaker, Steve Cooper Environmental Officer from Great Aycliffe Town Council.
Residents can expect to speak to representatives of Police, livin, Town and County Councillors, who welcome the opportunity to speak with and give advice to the public on local issues.
ACORN are a non-political group and welcome residents of all political persuasions, age, gender and physical ability to join us in debate with fun and games. We are a fun bunch and try to improve our neighbourhood and environment while building up relationships with our friends and neighbours.
We are planning a wide range of activities for the coming year with a variety of activities to entertain and inform our community including a Halloween Party, Panto, Christmas Party for kids and adults, Easter Egg Hunt and Teddy Bears Picnic. ACORN will also continue to help represent our neighbourhood in the wider community by making suggestions and lobbying other organisations.
