Residents community group ACORN Residents Association, recently returned from an amazing trip to Blackpool which was enjoyed by all, threw a great Halloween Party at Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre on Friday 31st October. Excited children tucked into snacks and were entertained by the irrepressible pied piper of mirth Professor Nincompoop using the topical alias of Doctor Funkinstein. Magic, fun and dance was the order of the evening for kids and adults alike. ACORN volunteers and members pulled out all the stops to ensure the children had a wonderful time.
On Thursday 13th   November ACORN will be holding their monthly meeting at the Royal British Legion Club commencing with a meeting of the little ACORNS at 5.30pm who will feedback on recent events and trips.
At 6pm the main ACORN group will be discussing local issues and concerns. Anyone is welcome to attend as police, councillors and livin representatives often attend.
