ACORN Residents Association will be holding their monthly meeting on Thursday December 12th at the Royal British Legion Club.
Beginning with a meeting of the junior group little Acorns at 5.30 pm the main group meeting commences at 6pm.
Speaker for the evening will be our friend from livin Sylvia Dodsworth to explain changes to community involvement in the social housing arm of the organisation.
Details of outings to the theatre to attend a pantomime and other seasonal events will be discussed by the little Acorns. Whilst the adult group will be discussing Police and social issues affecting the neighbourhood. The emphasis is, however, on having fun in the community.
ACORN has a policy of inviting Councillors both Town and County to answer questions and announce policies, which are of interest to the public. We welcome new members and even the curious to come along. We are a family oriented group who although non- political are interested in events going on in the environment around us and try to have an input.
We have a website which can be accessed at www.acornresidents.com and a facebook page which allows the general public to get involved in our campaigns and make comment on the things that we do. As a group we encourage other groups to form their own residents associations. We are currently looking for interested parties to join a group covering the Agnew 1 and 2 estates.
Warm regards and best wishes
Ken Robson (Chairman)
