ACE is a recently launched charity group formed for the benefit of those in our community who need support. Ace (formerly GACAP) was formerly set up by Syd Howarth, MBE.
Geoff Batchelor, Vice Chairman of ACE and a partner of the group since it was formed in 2014 has organised a fund raising event at the Big Club on Friday 9th November. Geoff said “ACE was formed to serve the community of Newton Aycliffe in a more hands on manner than it’s forerunner, GACAP. We are aware there are many people within our community who find themselves in need and ACE, like our former partnership GACAP have been set up with the community in mind. We do not want to see people struggle if there is anything we can do to help them. But helping comes with a cost so we are asking people to support our charity event to help us help others”.
Tickets are now on sale at £5 each, the night has outstanding entertainment with the ever popular “Groovy Street” who need no introduction. They will be accompanied by Darlington’s popular Acoustic Guitarist David Brittle. David appeared in the live entertainment event in Aycliffe Town Centre organised by Aycliffe Radio.
Tickets for the event, which were kindly printed by Newton Press, can be obtained from Gary at the Big Club, Walkers Butchers in Simpasture and Aycliffe Framers in the town centre.
Tickets will be available on the door, subject to availability, so make sure you get yours as we expect tickets to go fast.
The evening will commence at 7pm with entertainment starting at 7.30pm.
So get on your dancing shoes and come along to the Big Club and dance the night away and support ACE, your charity, who with your help, can support the people of Newton Aycliffe and locality.
