14 year old Aaliyah Barimah has come to the decision to have her waist length hair cut off for the Little Princess Trust charity which makes wigs for children with cancer.
Aaliyah been through so much with racial bullying in her life and has gained a rather thick skin against people who bully her.
She is arranging the cut with Melly Wilson a local hair stylist who has offered to cut and restyle what’s left over of Aaliyah’s hair.
Her mother Rachel is very proud of her daughter’s kind intentions for charity and says she is so brave to lose her beautiful long hair.
The family have lived in Newton Aycliffe since Aaliyah was 4 years old. They lived in Germany in British Army quarters. The cut will take place on Friday 16th February.
