On 6th October the Syrian families of Newton Aycliffe and Durham held a “Taste of Syria” in Newton Aycliffe Youth Centre which included Arabic food, music and dancing.
Since coming to our town they have mixed with Horndale Residents Association for trips and days outs.
The group felt this was a good way to show support to see their culture, so 20 residents went to the night and had a thoroughly great time, as everyone mixed well.
